Purpose of MarkerDAO is to make DAI
DAI - Decentralized stablecoin
DAO - people run the org who hold the governance token.
Two tokens - MKR (Governance) Token and DAI (Stablecoin)
CDP - a smart contract where user deposit collateral to generate Dai (Collaterialized Debt Position). In 2019 with MCD CDP are called vaults.
DAI is created when user lock up ETH - users can withdraw 2/3rd of the value of ETH locked up
In order to close a loan, user can pay principle only with DAI , interest in MKR
